This vintage Adidas tee features the brand's iconic three stripe, trefoil logo in light blue. As the second largest sportswear brand in the world after Nike, Adidas's logo has become synonymous with well-made athletic apparel. Adidas acquired the rights to their signature three-stripe design in the 50s. Adidas founder, Adi Dassler, bought the design from a Finnish shoe brand for the modern equivalent of 1,600 euros and two bottles of whiskey. Later, the brand established the trefoil logo and incorporated the three stripes into the new design. The three leaves on the trefoil are meant to represent the three continents where Adidas products were sold at the time; North America, Europe, and Asia.
